Samuel French Actor
Samuel French-From the Texas hill country to the Big Leagues...
Samuel French was raised in Clifton Texas where he began acting at the age of six taking on his first role of the Nephew in "The Christmas Carol" at the local Theater in his hometown and he was hooked. Samuel went on to perform in plays till the age of fifteen it was then that he began to get serious in sports and he then put acting on the back burner throughout the rest of high school. One year after he graduated Samuel went on to play Semi Pro and Professional indoor football and did so for 11 straight years. Then at the age of 29 Samuel retired from football as the love for the game didn't seem to be enough living in Austin Texas he decided to pick back up the acting thing so he signed up for classes and started studying Sanford Meisner with known teacher by the name of David Cox for a whole two years he did so before jumping into any auditioning rooms. Since then Samuel French is seven years in the acting game and has been in over 22 different Films, his first being Davis Farm a drama where he played a small supporting role written and directed by Vernon Smith. He followed that up with his very first lead role in a horror thriller- Psympatico which got a major distribution deal and will be released soon. He has also worked on films such as Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For and Closer to Bottom directed by Jesse Borrego. He recently starred in a couple of short films first one as a Army SGT this past summer called AWOL from award winning writer Joshua Tywater and Comfortable Rut written by Gene Williams these films will be submitted to many prominent film festivals in the coming months. A true actor through and through, Samuel continues to hone in on his abilities as an actor and is a very disciplined and serious about his acting career, choosing projects that showcase his talents. Samuel is also on the TV home front as well he has worked on numerous Tv shows- Dallas, The Lying Game, Killer Women and hit show-Revolutions. Samuel most recently signed on to star in a major Tv min-series Texas Rising as Gavin McDonough that will be shown on The History Channel, with Executive Producers-Leslie Greif and Barry M. Berg from the Hatfields and McCoys. This also stars such notable named actors: Ray Liotta, Thomas Jane, Bill Paxton, Branden Frasier to name a few.
